1. Overview

XLUNA Mobile Lab is made by XLUNA, an independent software studio run by Hasnain Butt Akhtar. It applies to version 1.0.0 and later on Windows. The app works without an account and without telemetry.

  • We do not collect personal data.
  • We do not send handset or system information to any server.
  • We do not run servers for the app.
  • We do not sell, share or monetise any data.

2. Data we do not collect

Identity

No name, email, phone number, address, account, sign-in or identifier.

Usage or analytics

No telemetry, crash analytics, tracking or advertising code of any kind.

Handset content

Photos, files, app packages, contacts, call history, messages, screen pictures and recordings that you copy from a handset are written only to the workspace folder you choose on your PC. They are never uploaded.

Readings

Battery, storage, memory, temperature, hardware identity, installed apps and settings are read from the handset only to show them to you.

Location

No GPS or device location is read from your PC.

3. Data stored on your PC

Preferences

Appearance, pinned and recent tools and workbench options are saved in the XLUNA Mobile Lab folder of your local app data.

Workspace

Backups, captures, snapshots, reports, the per handset job history and any vault copy are saved in the workspace folder you choose, one folder per handset. They stay there until you move or delete them.

Error log

A small log of recovered errors in the app folder, to help diagnose problems. It is never sent anywhere.

Trial and licence

Managed by the Microsoft Store. The app reads it on your PC; we receive nothing.

Uninstalling the app removes its folder. Files saved to your workspace folder stay where you put them.

4. Network and third-party services

Microsoft Store licence check, handled by Microsoft, to confirm your trial or purchase.

Handset connection

The bundled Android platform tools talk to a handset over USB. If you choose wireless debugging, they connect to that handset over your local network at the address you enter. Nothing is sent to the internet.

No data is sent to XLUNA or to any other third party.

5. Microsoft Store purchase and trial

XLUNA Mobile Lab is a paid app with a free trial managed by the Microsoft Store. Microsoft handles every payment and transaction. We never see or store your card details or your Microsoft account information. The rating button only opens the Microsoft Store's own rating page, and nothing is offered or withheld in return for a rating.

6. App permissions

Full trust desktop app

Needed to run the bundled device tools as separate processes and to read and write the folders you choose.

Start with Windows

Off until you turn it on in Settings. It uses the Windows startup task, which you can also switch off in Windows Settings.

Handset permissions

Every action on a handset uses the debugging access you approve on the handset itself, and you can revoke it there at any time.

7. Children

XLUNA Mobile Lab is a professional utility. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect information from anyone.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and it will keep the same principle: your data stays on your PC.
