1. Overview

XLUNA Turbo Elite is made by XLUNA™, an independent software studio run by Hasnain Butt Akhtar. It applies to version 1.0.0 and later on Windows. The app works without an account and without telemetry.

  • We do not collect personal data.
  • We do not send information about your PC to any server of ours.
  • We do not run servers for the app.
  • We do not sell, share or monetise any data.

2. Data we do not collect

Identity

No name, email, phone number, address, account, sign-in or identifier.

Usage or analytics

No telemetry, crash analytics, tracking or advertising code of any kind.

Your files

The folders you choose to scan for large or duplicate files are read on your PC only. File names, sizes and contents are never uploaded.

System readings

Hardware details, running processes, installed programs, startup entries, drive and battery information are read locally to show them to you and are never sent anywhere.

Location

No GPS or device location is read.

3. Data stored on your PC

Preferences

Appearance, tool options and Game Mode settings are saved in the XLUNA Turbo Elite folder of your local app data.

Activity history

A short list of the actions the app has taken, kept to the most recent 200 entries. You can clear it in the app.

Benchmark history

The results of benchmarks you run on this PC.

Error log

A small log of recovered errors, to help diagnose problems. It is never sent anywhere.

Trial and licence

Managed by the Microsoft Store. The app reads it on your PC; we receive nothing.

Uninstalling the app removes its data folder. Files you moved or deleted with its tools are not restored by uninstalling.

4. Network and third-party services

Every outbound request the app makes is listed here.

Microsoft Store licence check, handled by Microsoft, to confirm your trial or purchase.

Speed test, only when you start it

The app sends a few ICMP ping requests to the public addresses 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 to measure latency, then downloads a 10 MB test file from Cloudflare's public speed-test address to measure download speed. The download is a plain web request, so the server can see your IP address as it can for any connection. The app adds no identifier and sends no other data.

App updates list

The Insights page asks the Windows Package Manager (winget) which of your installed apps have updates. winget makes its own requests to its package sources under Microsoft's terms; the app sends nothing of its own. The update action also runs through winget.

Links you click

The Microsoft Store pages and the XLUNA website open in your own browser or the Store only when you choose them.

No data is sent to XLUNA™. Nothing is shared with any other third party by the app.

5. Microsoft Store purchase and trial

XLUNA Turbo Elite is a paid app with a free trial managed by the Microsoft Store. Microsoft handles every payment and transaction. We never see or store your card details or your Microsoft account information. The rating button only opens the Microsoft Store's own rating page, and nothing is offered or withheld in return for a rating.

6. App permissions and what the app changes on your PC

Full trust desktop app

Needed to read system status, run the built-in Windows tools described below and clean the folders you approve.

Internet access

Used only for the requests listed in section 4.

Start with Windows

Off until you turn it on in Settings. It uses the Windows startup task, which you can also switch off in Windows Settings.

Weekly automatic cleanup

Off until you turn it on in Settings. It then creates one Windows scheduled task that runs the app's cleanup each Sunday and is removed when you turn the setting off.

Cleanup

Removes temporary files, the thumbnail cache, Edge and Chrome cache files and, if you choose, the Recycle Bin. Duplicate and large files you choose are sent to the Recycle Bin.

Memory

Asks Windows to trim the working memory of running processes. Ending a process happens only when you choose it.

Power plan, Game Mode and drives

Can switch your Windows power plan, create a high performance plan if none exists, set the Windows Game Mode preference for your account, flush the DNS cache and run the built-in Windows drive optimiser. Game Mode records your previous settings so it can restore them.

Startup entries

You can switch your own startup entries on or off through the standard Windows startup approval setting. Entries for all users are shown but not changed.

Restore points

When System Protection is on and the app has administrator rights, it can create a Windows restore point before some changes. You can turn this off in Settings.

Administrator rights

Requested only when you choose to relaunch as administrator, and you approve the Windows prompt yourself.

Uninstaller tool

Lists your installed programs and starts a program's own uninstaller when you choose it.

7. Children

XLUNA Turbo Elite is a general-audience utility. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect information from anyone.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and it will keep the same principle: your data stays on your PC.
